About

The Jacksons
Brian, Sarah & Wyatt are expecting a very special new member to their family, Baby Jackson. They have decided not to find out the sex of the baby so that they can be surprised.

Baby Jackson is due to enter the world on June 5th. The Jackson's had planned on a home birth (since Sarah is a stay at home mom and medical insurance is not provided at Brian's office), however, early on in the pregnancy, during a routine ultrasound, they found out that Baby Jackson may have a hernia.

After several more ultrasounds Baby Jackson was diagnosed with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia. In Baby Jackson's case, there is actually a hole in the diaphragm which is allowing other organs to work their way through. These other organs are crowding the lungs and impeding their growth. The baby is currently healthy and growing great, however the lungs are not growing which means that once the baby is born, it will need surgeries and lots of medical attention as well as at least a months stay in the NICU.

Sarah will have to deliver at the nearest children's hospital which is 3 hours from where they live. In the beginning of May, Sarah will have to move in with family to be closer to the hospital, just in case. Brian will have the added expense of commuting back and forth (2 & 1/2 hours each way) every weekend to see his family. Once Baby Jackson is born, his trip will increase to 3 hours each way. Sarah will have added lodging, food and fuel expenses as well, and that doesn't begin to touch the medical bills for hospital stays, specialists, operations, etc...

This is the sweetest, most loving family you could ever meet. We are just trying to help lighten their load so that they can focus on getting Baby Jackson healthy. Our hope is that you will give what you can (even $5 can go a long way), participate in the dance-a-thon, sponsor the dance-a-thon, donate giveaways for the dance-a-thon, or, at the very most, be praying for this wonderful family and the healing that they desperately desire for Baby Jackson.

Thank you for your support.
