From the Jackson Family...

Sarah went into labor Thursday, June 7th, and delivered our son, Emmett Daniel Jackson at 9:42pm. He weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and was 21 inches long. Because of his condition, as soon as he entered the world his lungs could not support his heart. The doctors worked vigorously to revive him, but his lungs just weren't developed enough. He was never in any pain, he never suffered.

Please understand that while this is very hard and we are heart-broken, we are at peace. God has already shown us one piece of His plan for Emmett. He became an organ donor and donated his heart valves to potentially 2 babies in need. The staff said it is very rare for a baby to qualify for this, and that makes Emmett special. We are happy his brief moments here will potentially provide life to another baby.

We also prayed that if he wasn't going to make it, that it wasn't prolonged or a struggle. Our prayers were answered, he is with Jesus in heaven now.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers through everything. We are sad, but we know life does not end on this earth. We will be joined again with our son when we meet our Heavenly Father.

We feel very surrounded by love.

  1. God Bless you all! Its amazing to see how God will work in His mighty way despite what we feel or want. I just want to thank the Lord for bringing immediate peace to this family and for having Emmett's life touch so many. His legacy will be remembered, that's for sure! I pray for continued peace and hope to you all and Halleluiah for Emmett's celebrations happening in Heaven right now! He surely is alive there. Blessings, Karen Andriola & Family
